CAR HIRE

You are advised to check both the offers that link from the budget airline sites and also other offers searchable through the internet. The cost of a weeks car hire can often be the same or less than 2 one way trips to the airport by taxi. Parking is not guaranteed, but is normally available one one of the small streets near the flats. The large parking area on the Paseo maritimo is only a few minutes away. PLEASE REMEMBER there is a market nearly every Friday morning and your car will be towed if it is in the wrong place.

TAXI

Antonio is a registered local taxi driver and offers a pick up service from the airport for around 55 euros if you mention Vistamarconil or Benavente, the reason for the latter is that the road next to the flats is called Benavente. You will need to phone him, or text him your self, he speaks a little English. He will meet you at the airport with a small sign bearing your name. The journey time is normally under an hour. Your contract for a taxi is with the taxi driver and not with this web site. Most taxis take 4 adults and a standard amount of luggage.

DRIVING FROM JEREZ

Leave the airport and head back to Jerez. After 5mins or so the road changes from dual carriageway to single lane. There are car dealers showrooms on the side of the road. As you approach a large intersection with lights follow the signs to Cadiz. This is straight ahead and slightly to the right at this intersection. You are now on the ring road round Jerez. Follow the signs to Cadiz.

You will find yourself on dual carriageway again after a few kilometres. This is the main road to Cadiz and the coast. The road has recently been widened and improved and you will soon be crossing the salt flats. You are now looking for signs to Algecerias, Chiclana and Malaga. You will filter to the left to follow this coast road, should you get it wrong you will find yourself on the way to Cadiz.

The turn of the dual carriageway to join the Algecerias and Malaga road is quite sharp. Once on this road you will soon pass Chiclana on the left. You then join the new 'Motorway ' section that bypasses Conil and Roche. Follow this new 'Motorway' until you arrive at the CONIL SUR turn off. The CONIL NORTE is much earlier and is actually a way from Conil.

When you leave the 'motorway' follow the signs to Conil and El Palmar. You will go round a roundabout with flowers and Conil in large white stone letters, there is an industrial estate on the right hand side. Follow this road up a slight rise, as you drop down the other side cross over the first roundabout, then a few hundred meters later cross over a second roundabout. (Here you can turn left for El Palmar). You then come to another roundabout a few hundred meters later, here turn right. Proceed along here for about 500meters, the road is one way only. You will then reach a road turning down to the left. At this point you will also meet oncoming traffic. As you turn left into this street called calle Benavente, keep to the right and you arrive in the square where the apartments are situated. The entrance is on the far side on the left, you may find a parking spot right outside, if not you will have time to unload the car and who ever is meeting you can indicate how to get round to the sea front to park.

DRIVING FROM MALAGA and GIBRALTAR

Follow the signs to Cadiz, Conil is indicated from the main road soon after Vejer. Leave the dual carriageway at the newly named CONIL SUR exit and follow the instruction in the last paragraph above.
